About the Art

Susan Graham’s artwork divides into several main periods that reflect the examination of life she was undertaking at the time.

Susan studied sculpture and bronze-casting at the Ontario College of Art, completing her degree off-campus at the artists’ colony in Pietra Santa, Italy.

She has exhibited extensively, worked as a graphic designer, taught art, participated in the arts community by organizing exhibitions and festivals, and was involved in the artist-run-centre movement as president of Gallery Connexion, Fredericton, New Brunswick.

Her exhibitions feature works in oils, sculpture and mixed media.

Show titles sometimes reflect themes of emotional response such as “Order & Chaos” and “The Relationship between the Physical & the Emotional”.

Sometimes shows reflect observations of the world, eg. “Vignettes”; other shows such as “Art | Work” and “A Show of Shows” advocate for the arts in Canada.
